Telephone Support - Network Evaluation offers this in cases where the problem description appears to be resolvable by talking a local user through the steps necessary over the telephone. We maintain a library of different operating systems and applications so that we can "see" the same things that the user is seeing (where possible), making for a faster problem resolution. Additionally, problem resolution over the telephone is billed in 15-minute increments, which will save you time and money over an on-site visit. Simple questions (10 minutes or less) are free.

Remote Network Access Support - Network Evaluation will place one or more systems on your network, which are remotely accessed and controlled by us. Alternately, you grant us remote access to your systems already in-place. This option requires a written contract, since this involves direct access to your network, and the placement of our equipment on your premises. This service is billed in 15-minute increments.

On-Site troubleshooting - Network Evaluation will come to your site with specialized equipment and software (as needed) to resolve problems which cannot be solved over the telephone, or which may require escalation. If we come on site as a followup to telephone support, you will not be billed for the telephone time. On-Site visits are billed in increments of 1 hour.

Profiling - Network Evaluation will come on-site, analyze and characterize the network traffic, and the processing load on your systems. This is typically done when everything seems to work, but not very well, or things work from one area, but not from another, hinting at hidden problems. Once analyzed, Network Evaluation will make changes to improve performance, and will provide a written report detailing what was found. In some cases, new equipment or software may be prescribed.

Network Protocols - Used in networks with multiple locations, Network Evaluation will analyze and evaluate problems affecting network performance - including configuration, routing, connectivity issues, etc.

Firewall Configuration - Many commercial-quality firewalls have often been "patched" over and over again to meet the ongoing demands of users without ever having the entire set of requirements re-analyzed to make sure that no inadvertent configurations allow unwanted traffic, or to see if some configuration elements are superfluous, or outdated. Network Evaluation will simplify the firewall configuration, increase its efficiency, and enhance its maintainability - all with no loss of functionality or security & often improving it.
